
The B.S.B.A. program with a specialization in information systems offers a mix of applied and theoretical courses. The objective of the information systems program is to provide the analytical tools and skills necessary for careers in the computer services industry or functional area of information systems management, as well as the theoretical basis for graduate study.
The program includes a broad core of lower division courses that comprise the University Liberal Education Program and a Business Core curriculum that emphasizes a common body of knowledge underlying the successful practice of business administration. The Information Systems Core requires course work in COBOL, C, data communication, database systems, systems analysis and design, and quantitative methods.
