Edwin W. Arnold
Dr. Edwin W. Arnold holds the Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from the University of Alabama and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification. He earned the M.B.A. from the University of Arkansas in 1972 and completed additional graduate coursework at Tulane University in 1981. Dr. Arnold has been teaching and conducting research in human resource management since 1984. Previously, he held human resource management positions at the corporate, divisional and plant levels with two "Fortune 500" firms.
Dr. Arnold's research interests include the impact of human resource management on the economic performance of the firm, the role of human resource management in organizations, and union certification/decertification elections. He has published over 30 papers in refereed journals and academic proceedings.
Dr. Arnold is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Academy of Management, the Industrial Relations Research Association, the Alabama Industrial Relations Research Association and the Southern Management Association.
